Our Story
When owner Steve Beaumont needed to make a decision about the future of his former bank building located in Lenexa, KS, the idea dawned on him; The space would be perfect for an event venue. As he started to dream up plans for what the venue could be, he realized the structure of the building had very similar design features to many of the US Mint and Federal Reserve locations throughout the country. This architectural discovery quickly inspired an obvious choice in name: The Mint. It was simple, memorable and tied everything together so perfectly.
Working with Klover Architects, Steve had his visions turned into renderings, and began remodeling the space in the summer of 2023. Through the process, he has made carefully executed design choices that lean into a federal style, a true nod to the building's banking history, while also bringing in modern finishes and decor. This included turning the large bank vault, a focal point of the venue, into a stunning speakeasy style bar.
If you know Steve, you know that thematic room concepts are his specialty (See Chateau Avalon Hotel). And while the bank-inspired touches range from eye-catching to understated, the space couldn't be complete without one fully themed room, The Groom's Saloon. Complete with a bar, poker table, custom wood lockers, western artwork and an outdoor cigar lounge, this suite is sure to be a hit among the groom and his closest pals. There are so many more exciting features and gems hidden in this space, and we can't wait for you to see them all!
We know in our hearts that this one-of-a-kind venue is just what Kansas City needed! We did our research, studied the market and have worked hard to implement the most desirable amenities while also bringing in new concepts to keep things fresh. Our beautiful 18,000 sq ft venue can hold up to 350 guests. It includes a ballroom, separate ceremony space, luxurious bride and groom suites, entertainment room, vault bar, lounge area, catering kitchen and high tech capabilities for AV displays or presentations.

Avent Orangery is a luxury wedding and events venue located in Kansas City, Kansas on the grounds of the Chateau Avalon Hotel. Surrounded by wooded acreage and open fields, Avent Orangery offers the perfect combination of privacy and serenity for your ceremony, wedding, or event.
Our beautiful 5,800 square foot steel structure has floor-to-ceiling glass removable panels, crystal chandeliers, string lights, an outdoor amphitheater, and the city’s largest fountain: The Beaumont Fountain.
Chateau Avalon Hotel
The Chateau Avalon Hotel is an award-winning boutique hotel with 60 uniquely themed suites. The French-inspired Chateau was built in 2004 and has since then become a dream destination getaway for couples.
